Appointment of Authorised Examiner (AE)
An Authorised Examiner is an individual, person in partnership or company meeting requirements (premises, equipment, personnel and good repute) to carry out MOT testing. This section includes information who the AE should be within different types of business and the training required.

Becoming a Nominated Tester (NT)

Premises
To become a Vehicle Test Station (VTS), all premises must meet the legal requirements laid out in this section.

Acceptable Equipment

Special Notices are memos that VOSA use to communicate changes within the scheme to VTS.

Maintaining Testing Standards
To ensure all test stations are carrying out tests to the required standard, VOSA carry out various activities to monitor test standards. Failure to adhere to these standards can result in:

Withdrawl

Disciplinary Action
